Since our last update, we've been deeply engaged in turning our vision into a concrete plan. This involves numerous meetings with our dedicated team—comprising structural engineers, architects, site engineers, an electrician, and a roofing company—all coordinated by our general contractor. The aim? To meticulously shape every corner of what will soon be a vibrant community hub for pottery and creativity.
One of our most crucial steps has been drafting an initial layout plan for the barn. (Pictured above) This layout is more than just a blueprint; it's the first tangible glimpse into the future of Creative Clay Center. It meticulously outlines the dedicated spaces for pottery wheels, kilns, and common areas designed to foster creativity and collaboration.
Our immediate goal is to solidify the budget for this extensive project. A clear financial plan is vital as it will guide our conversations with banks about securing the necessary business loans. It’s a balancing act—ensuring we have the resources to build a top-notch facility while also maintaining the soul of our community-centered vision.
